Late 19th century earthenware compotier, or fruit bowl, with a printed motif in red roses on the surface and the base.
This dish was made by Théophile Fenal, whose initials are stamped at the bottom, in Badonviller, France. Fenal opened his ceramic factory in 1898 and his son, Edouard, took it over in 1905. The earthenware factory was in operation until 1989.
