Vintage bent wood rattan cache-pot, plant holder, in the shape of a tricycle. (Cache-pot literally translates to hide pot in French and is a plant holder) 

Rattan furnishings became popular in the west in the 19^th century as Asian imports were brought from eastern countries to add an “exotic” flare to the home.  These objects suggested travel and a basic knowledge of eastern civilizations. Rattan is known to be very strong and suitable for indoor or outdoor use.
