Playful matted print of La Rose mal défendue (The Poorly Defended Rose) in gilded frame.  The image depicts a whimsical and flirtatious rendezvous set within a French Rococo interior.  Drawn by Philibert-Louis Debucourt in 1791 as an etching and engraving and printed in color from one plate inked “a la poupee”. 

49 cm x 62 cm

Dust with dry cotton cloth.
